Among the showcases in Hall A4 the best ones were those with the Asbestos collection on Marco Amabili an Italian guy who works there in the mine.
There were a couple of large mangan-vesuvianite specimens which were collected a months ago before the closure of the mine.
The story tell that the guardian toghether with a worker went by night with a buldozer to work a promising vein and nobody knows what they picked up ..the next mornig following the worked vug the 2 pieces shown below were collected among many others...

Among the other showcases presented there were an Intersting selection of Barites and Floiurite from Germany, Orthoclases , and also Pliocene Fossils from Italy
