WHO WE ARE.......

We are a group of friends from Italy with the Hobby of mineral collecting , we started this  experience on the Web   under    Webminerals  S.A.S

We aim to be a professional web site, but  mainly we are rockhounders and our purpose is to offer our surplus of mineral specimens for every collector in the world : beginner, intermediate, advanced at cheap prices. We would like also to give information about collecting sites and shows in Italy and many other things and to meet new friends in the Web.  Hoping to hear from you and to give you a chance to get a nice specimen.

....OUR PHILOSOPHY...

The main target we have is not only to commercialize minerals, but mainly contribute to valorize  the italian mineralogy and the mineral collection; for this we have a section in which we collect article dedicated to italian mineral localities, notice from italian and european mineral shows and other thing about collecting minerals.   About the commercial section is mainly dedicated to italian minerals, but in it you can find also other minerals from different places in the world; the target is to offer you each month new minerals  at very competitive prices with photos and a description of the main characteristics ( a large part of these minerals are from change in our collection, other from old italian collections we have acquired, other from our  exploration.... ), at the end of the period the minerals will be put in the gallery  group by geographical provenience.     The prices you find in this section are indicative. Everyone is interested might indicate the number of pieces and make its own offer, we will evaluate it anyway.

OUR ACTIVITIES ...............

..... we look for minerals in old mines ( more or less secure ) in open pits, in the Alp mountains, in the discharge material of old mines. In  Italy is now extremely difficult to find nice specimens. Almost all the mines are closed and abandoned. The classical mineralogical localities are restricted to the mineral collection. Sometimes the laws that restrict the mineral collection in some areas are good, since these areas have a relevant naturalistic interest, but in most of the cases the regulations have no meaning, and in practice the mineral collection is restricted only for the guys like us that have a no professional approach to the mineral research. Anyway sometimes we find something of interesting of very interesting ........we participate to mineral shows both as visitors and sellers; ....... Anyway more or less all our collections have aesthetic specimens of 5x5 cm minimum dimension .

Here a short description of the main section of this site; first of all is important note that the site is divided in two main sections: Mineral Shop (all the pages dedicated to sell minerals) and Informative Section ( all the articles dedicated to mineralogy).  

Mineral Shop - in it there are:

New Minerals - a section in which each month we offer you  pages of new minerals;

Minerals Gallery - in these pages we put all the minerals that have not been sold  grouped by geographical provenience;

Informative Section - in it there are:

Mineralogy - some articles about mineralogy and minerals collection;

Italian mineral localities - some articles dedicated to the main italian localities;

Mineral shows and Links - contains a calendar of the main italian and european mineral shows, our impressions about some of these shows, and, at the end ,our link pages.

 a Guest Book ( where you can leave your impressions ) and a Classified Ads Page ( in which you can put your advise).
