Vanadinite, Descloizite - Kabwe Mine (Broken Hill Mine) Zambia

In the mid-1970s a cavern encountered on the 430-meter level of the X orebody, was encrusted with botryoidal and stalactitic vanadinite.  SEM investigation has shown alternating layers of dark  vanadinite with narrow layers of yellow descloizite. An extremely rare, unique occurrence . The descoizite is fluorescent under LW UV. Size 7x6x3 cm
